I Believe In Pink

I Believe In Pink

I love quotes. A great quote is like finding a good song, just shorter. 😉 A favorite of mine is the classic and ever-so timeless, “I believe in pink” by Audrey Hepburn. It goes a little something like this…

“I believe in manicures. I believe in overdressing. I believe in primping at leisure and wearing lipstick. I believe in pink. I believe that laughing is the best calorie burner. I believe in kissing, kissing a lot. I believe in being strong when everything seems to be going wrong. I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another day and I believe in miracles.”

I love this because not only do I 100% agree with her word for word, but I love how it shows her character. Needless to say, she’s one of my inspirations and role models. So when I spotted this tee from Cents Of Style, I was like- YES, PLEASE! And when it came to putting it into an outfit I knew I had to channel my inner Hepburn and put a vintage twist on this modern tee.

So now, here I leave you with a handful of some of my favorite quotes. I chose these ones because I feel like these ladies took the words right out of my mouth, they’re all so very “me”, LOL. Enjoy!

“You may be pretty, and you may be talented, but nobody will remember that if you’re mean.” – Katie Holmes

“There is never just one thing that leads to success for anyone. I feel it’s always a combination of passion, dedication, hard work and being in the right place at the right time.” -Lauren Conrad

“Sometimes you just have to put on lip gloss and pretend to be psyched.” -Mindy Kaling

“Think of all the beauty still left around you and be happy.” -Anne Frank

“I will leave you with one last piece of advice, which is: If you’ve got it, flaunt it. And if you don’t got it? Flaunt it. ‘Cause what are we doing here if we’re not flaunting it?”
 -Mindy Kaling

“Playing dress up begins at age 5 and never really ends.” – Kate Spade

“I brake for birds. I rock a lot of polka dots. I have touched glitter in the last 24 hours. I spend my entire day talking to children. And I find it fundamentally strange that you’re not a dessert person. It freaks me out. I’m sorry that I don’t talk like Murphy Brown. And I hate your pants suit. I wish it had ribbons on it or something just to make it slightly cuter but that doesn’t mean I’m not smart and tough and strong.” -Jessica Day (New Girl on Fox)
