With spring right around the corner I’m wasting no time trading out my burgundies for lavenders and faux furs for lace. This dress is just the beginning! I received this stunning number from Shabby Apple last week and it instantly became a favorite of mine. Between the color, the fit, the simplicity and ALL that lace, it’s perfect for the coming seasons! One of my favorite things about Shabby Apple is how classy their selection is. They’re a perfect example that you can look and feel like a million bucks while dressing modestly.
I was so impressed with this dress that I wanted to put something really special together for these photos. So I opted for a great collaboration. With the help of Ryan Doucette and his fantastic photography skills, MarKette of The Golden Petal with her gorgeous floral work and Emma from Emma’s Parlour for my lovely and unique hairstyle, these photos were created.
Ryan’s shots for this shoot were exactly what I imagined.
Bright, crisp and clean. Ryan’s vision isn’t you’re typical cookie-cutter/same old same old- kinda thing. He’s original and so very creative. He’s also extremely kind, letting me borrow his coat during the shoot because snow, 20 degree weather and dresses aren’t the best mix when you’re the model, LOL.
Emma is a hair wizard.
She can whip out gorgeous hairstyles in as little as 10-15 minutes (this one taking only 15). I love the mix of curls, swirls and a simple braid to top it all off. I also have Emma to thank for my hair color. She’s been my go-to girl for this Ariel red since last summer.
Markette did an incredible job on this floral crown.
The beautiful mixture of textures and colors in it make the photos pop and give this shoot something really special. I’ve collaborated with The Golden Petal a couple times now and every single time I am just FLOORED with her work.
